Get your car tested before Memorial Day!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 22, 2001

Envirotest vehicle emissions testing centers will be CLOSED Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day. The emission stations are closed on all state holidays. Normally, the day after any holiday is very busy at emissions stations, and this holiday occurs at the end of the month, which also is a time of heavy emissions station traffic.

It is expected that emissions stations will experience very heavy volume and wait lines the day after the Memorial Day holiday.

Customers needing a May test are advised to obtain it prior to the Memorial Day holiday if at all possible. Customers needing a June test are advised to wait until Wednesday, May 30, if possible.

In general, people needing emissions tests can minimize or avoid waiting in lines by coming before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m. on weekdays, or on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also, try to avoid the first few days and last few days of the month, Mondays, and the day after any holiday.
