New General Manager for Air Care Colorado
Jon McKinley has been named general manager of the Air Care Colorado vehicle emissions testing program for Arvada-based Envirotest Systems Corp., a division of Environmental Systems Products, Inc. of E. Granby, Connecticut. Envirotest Systems operates the Air Care Colorado program under a multi-year contract with the State of Colorado.
McKinley will be responsible for the administration of the 15-station emissions testing network in the 7-county Denver metropolitan area, and also for the RapidScreen program in Larimer and Weld counties. The company has over 300 employees in the Denver-Boulder area, and tests approximately one million vehicles annually. RapidScreen is a clean screening roadside emissions program currently being operated in Weld and Larimer counties.
McKinley has been with Envirotest Systems for over three years. Before coming to Colorado, McKinley worked with the company’s centralized emissions programs in Illinois, Maryland and Ohio/Kentucky. Most recently he served as general manager for the 3-station northern Kentucky program and simultaneously as operations manager for the 21-station southern Ohio emissions program, based in Cincinnati.
“I’m eager to take my program experience with ESP and work toward ensuring that Colorado motorists receive the highest level of customer service and satisfaction that we can offer,” said McKinley.
As operations manager in Maryland, McKinley oversaw the implementation of Maryland’s enhanced emissions testing program. In Ohio, he implemented an overall upgrading of the management team and audit procedures.
Prior to joining Envirotest
Systems, McKinley was an executive recruiter, specializing in the fields of engineering and information
technology. He grew up in Des Moines, Iowa.
